Maintaining your car can be expensive and often additional repairs are only noticed at point of your annual service. Manufactures have slightly different service intervals on their cars but all agree the regular servicing is key to the health of your car. Scheduled servicing revolves around a plan for changing the key filters within your car based on thier expected longevity. Replacing your engine oil is key as it not only lubricates your engine but also cleans it.
Oil degrades over time so mileage along cant be a the determinate as to when your car is due for a service. As a result most service intervals are determined by age or mileage which ever comes sooner.
Following the manufactures service schedule can be expensive. Spreading the cost per month is a much more manageable way to fund the cost of servicing. The other benefit of paying for your services per month is that you are avoiding any inflation that might be added to the cost of servicing over the lifetime of owning your car. Pay for a 3-4 year service plan and the prices are fixed at the point of taking out the plan.
